Brief Report On 3rd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit 2017
From 17th to 19th of September in 2017, HWPL hosted the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit, which was held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
The theme of this event was ‘Establishing Collaborative Governance for Sustainable Development and Implementation of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW)’ to cease all wars and establish peace, and also to urge the world to acknowledge the need for removing weapons of mass destruction.
Politicians, educators, religious leaders, youth and woman representatives and journalists analyzed the best course of actions and shared their goals to achieve peace for the future. There was also time of an outstanding presentation about the direction for the establishment and development of the international law in accordance with the realization of the principles expressed in the DPCW.
Especially, the 18th events held around the world with live-stream at the stadium peace events in 60 locations across South Korea and 45 regions abroad such as Los Angeles, Washington DC, Shanghai, Beijing, Sydney, Cape Town etc.

Chairman of HWPL stated at the 17th press conference of 2017 WARP Summit that “the means of hosting this 3rd Annual Commemorative event is to raise awareness of the issue of peace among many and awaken those people who are asleep in relation to peace”.
<the Results>
The 3rd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit resulted in great success. All leaders, participants, and staffs agreed on corporation for peace brings the ability to inspire others, create a change in the world and establish a sustainable peace that can be passed on to future generations. The world peace initiatives are still moving on.
<the Yearly Progress of WARP Summit>
2014 WARP Summit: heads of states and representative leaders from 12 religions signed an agreement and declared inter-religious cooperation for world peace. 2015 the 1st Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit: it showed global support for the establishment of an international legal mechanism for peace.
2016 the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit: had a step on how to the implement and develop DPCW.
2017 the 3rd Annual Commemoration of WARP Summit: addressed the development and implementation of the DPCW, as well as the necessity of collaborative governance in achieving this objective.
